Calls for the further development of the energy-only market, based on the consistent application of existing legislation, the comprehensive expansion of transmission and interconnection infrastructure and greater regional cooperation which takes account of the particular features of the electricity markets of isolated regions, such as island regions, which are isolated from the national electricity system, thus promoting energy diversification and encouraging greater competition in order to increase security of supply;
