Deplores the discrimination and exclusion that persons with a disability still face today; calls on the Commission and the Member States to implement the European Disability Strategy and to monitor and apply the relevant European legislation; calls on the European Commission to maximize synergies between the EU disability strategy and the provisions of the CEDAW and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child;
