Calls on the Commission to include ambitious provisions on competition and state aid in all trade agreements and to carry out effective monitoring to ascertain whether those provisions are properly respected by the parties; stresses that state aid should be permitted only in exceptional, justified cases that are regulated by law in order to prevent distortion of competition on the market;
