Urges the Commission to continue, together with Eurostat, to establish specific criteria appropriate to the specific nature of the sectors (creation, cultural and artistic value, innovation, growth, social inclusion, community building, internationalisation, entrepreneurial improvement, aptitude to create spill-overs and cross-overs, etc.) and to evaluate the possible inclusion of the Joint Research Centre in the process; in this respect highlights the importance of building high-quality resources of knowledge about the sectors, as well as statistical research and access to comparable data resources in the field allowing for the effective monitoring and analysis of the cultural, economic and societal impact of policies in the cultural and creative sectors;
