Points out that many workers are still exposed to asbestos in their workplace; refers to the resolution of the European Parliament on asbestos; calls on the EU to work closely with social partners and the Member States to promote and coordinate Member States' efforts to develop national action plans for the management and safe removal of asbestos; calls on the a European campaign on asbestos and specific support for Member States to free all schools and gyms by 2020 from asbestos; calls on the Commission and Member States to design and implement a model for asbestos screening by setting clear targets for the registration of asbestos in buildings, and a realistic timescale for its removal;
