Welcomes the proposal to reduce the establishment plan of Parliament’s Secretariat by 60 posts in order to comply with Point 27 of the IIA of 2 December 2013, namely, a progressive 5% staff reduction in all institutions, bodies and agencies between 2013 and 2017; however believes that a much larger staff reduction target should be implemented; highlights that owing to specific needs arising in Parliament in 2014 and 2016, an agreement was reached with the Council on the draft general budget of the European Union for the financial year 201613 , in which Parliament’s annual staff reduction measures are set to continue until 2019; __________________ 13 Texts adopted, P8_TA(2015)0407.
