Calls for increased effective international cooperation on taking of evidence, mutual recognition, service of documents, and confiscation and freezing of assets, with a view to giving the competent authorities the means to trace, freeze, manage and confiscate the proceeds of crime;regrets that too many investigations carried out by OLAF, for fraud to the detriment of the EU, are dismissed because of the limitation period has passed or that the cases are too old, calls for greater cooperation between the representatives of national authorities and OLAF in order to avoid dismissal for such reasons.
