(27a) With a view to maximise the potential of cross-sectorial cooperation and synergies with other policy fields to achieve the general objectives of the ESF+, sport and physical activity should be used as a tool in ESF+ actions aimed, in particular, at reducing youth unemployment and improving social inclusion of marginalised groups, but also for health promotion and disease prevention.
