Points out the need for continued cooperation between the EU and the UK on climate diplomacy; considers it important for the EU and the UK to keep up its efforts to engage in cooperation on global climate action; stresses that climate change can often create new instabilities and conflicts or exacerbate existing ones, and deepening existing inequalities or create new ones, due to the scarcity of resources, the lack of economic opportunities, the loss of land as a result of rising sea levels or prolonged droughts, a fragile governance structure, an insufficient supply of water and food and a deterioration in living conditions;
