Recital 49 a (new)
(49a) Ecolabels such as the EU ecolabel and other officially recognized ecolabelling type I schemes in the Member States has proven to be an important guidance for the consumers against misleading and confusing information about sustainability requirements. Therefor this regulation should in no means set up limitations to the use of these ecolabels.
