Recognises the need for an in-depth knowledge of the fieldcultural scene of each country, local actors and civil society, in order to improve these actors’ access to programmes and funding and to ensure that the multiplying effect of their participation in EU programmes and initiatives is exploited; recommends consulting local actors with a view to co- designing programmes; calls for the development and the follow up of innovative collaborative approaches relying on tools and networks already in place (grants, sub-grants)22 , and for them to be followed up, taking gender balance into account; __________________ 22 For example, the EU-funded programme MEDCULTURE, which is working on developing and improving cultural policies and practices related to the cultural sector.
