Regrets in particular the proposed cuts in rural development in commitments and payments; rejects therefore the 23.1% reduction in commitments and 4.6% reduction in payments; stresses that funding for rural development under the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) has a high value added to the economics ofadded value for the economy and public services in rural areas across the Union;
