7. Deems it necessary that the Commission and the EEAS provide the necessary support for local elections (scheduled in October 2016) and an EU monitoring mission, and election assistance should it be requested by the Tunisian Government; calls for strengthened support for municipalities in the framework of Euro-Mediterranean Regional and Local Assembly (ARLEM), and by fostering the development of twinning projects in coordination with the Member States;
