Calls for adequate financial and human resources for the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) given the increased tasks and powers included in the ESAs review and sectorial legislations, including in the field of digital and sustainable finance.; highlights that speedy developments in fintech, anti-money- laundering, cyber resilience and other areas may lead to increased competences and responsibilities for ESAs and thus calls for those to be matched with adequate resources; stresses that MiCA, DLT pilot regime and DORA regulations will generate new competencies for ESAs; welcomes the Commission's proposed increase in the budget lines for the ESAs and recommends a further increase given the inflationary outlook;

Highlights the importance of pilot projects and preparatory actions (PPPAs) submitted by the European Parliament under the Union budget; regrets the refusal of some PPPAs that could be feasible and beneficial for the citizens of the Union; calls on the Commission to evaluate and reassess the proposed PPPAs with more transparency and flexibility (in the sense that some parts or features of rejected projects could be incorporated into existing budget lines);
