Welcomes the opportunity for a better work-life balance for women in the digital age; expresses, however, its concern over the danger that new ways of working, such as teleworking, increase women’s double burden of work and home life; emphasises the risks posed by constant accessibility (e.g. burnout); advocates, therefore, a ‘right to log off’ for workers;

Points out that the demand for new skills, particularly in the ICT field, needs to be tackled through training as well as through further education and lifelong learning, in the interests of promoting digital literacy and tackling the existing gender gap in order to enlarge the pool of highly qualified candidates; points to the importance of constant dialogue with social partners in order to overcome the gender gap in this field.
