Deplores the fact that women and girls are often exposed to domestic violence, sexual harassment, sexual violence and rape, forced marriage, honour killings, feminicide, female genital mutilation and other forms of violence, which constitute a serious violation of the human rights and dignity of women and girls; denounces that more and more women and girls are victims of gender-based violence on the internet and on social media; Calls on Member States to adopt concrete measures to address these new forms of crimes, including sex- extortion, grooming, voyeurism and revenge pornography, and protect victims, who experience serious trauma leading sometimes even to suicide;

(c) To ask the Commission to initiate, without delay, a constructive dialogue with the Council and Member States, in cooperation with the Council of Europe, so as to address reservations, objections and concerns expressed by Member States; and clarifyin particular to clarify misleading interpretations of the Istanbul Convention, in particular on on the definition of gender-based violence and the definition of gender in Article 3(c) and (d), in accordance with the General Remarks of the Commissioner of Human Rights of the Council of Europe;
