Welcomes the new Generalised Scheme of Preferences Regulation (GSP+), which entered into force on 1 January 201410, as a key EU trade policy instrument to promote human and labour rights, environmental protection and good governance in vulnerable developing countries; welcomes, in particular, the stringent and systematic GSP+ monitoring mechanism and calls for a focus on effective implementation at national level of the conventions listed in the convention; __________________ 10 http://ec.europa.eu/trade/policy/countries- and-regions/development/generalised- scheme-of-preferences/
