Regrets the proposed cuts of EUR 2 million for the school milk programme from EUR 77 million in the 2015 appropriation to EUR 75 million in the DB for 2016; recalls Parliament’s request for an increase of EUR 20 million a year for this scheme; welcomeconsiders the small EUR 6 million increase in the school fruit scheme to EUR 150 million to be clearly insufficient; stresses that both programmes have proven to be useful and efficient within the Member States and underlines their importance given the current crisis and levels of child malnutrition in the Union;
