Is concerned that unemployment rates in the EU remain relatively high (December 2014, EU 28: 9.9 %), and draws attention to the considerable differences between Member States, with the lowest unemployment rate being in Germany (4.8 %) and the highest in Spain (23.7 %); stresses that growing divergence in and between the labour markets of Members States could potentially lead to the undermining of the solidarity within the Union;

Stresses the need for a comprehensive approach regarding labour mobility, based on the free movement of citizens and workers and the principle of equal pay for equal work; stresses in this respect the necessity for Member States to adequately implement and enforce the Enforcement Directive 2014/67/EU, to close existing loopholes through a revision of the Posting of Workers Directive 96/71/EC, and to take measures in order to prevent related fraud; is concerned regarding the possible risks of 'brain drain' for certain Member States;
