The European Assessment Document (EAD) for products which significantly depart from the harmonized standard shall be adopted by the organisation of Technical Assessment Bodies referred to in Article 25(1) following a request for a European Technical Assessment by a manufacturer or an importer, in accordance with the procedure set out in Annex II.

The European Technical Assessment (ETA) shall be issued by a Technical Assessment Body, for any construction productproducts which significantly depart from the harmonised standard, at the request of a manufacturer or importer on the basis of a EAD in accordance with the procedure set out in Annex II.
