Highlights the EU’s strong interest in cooperating with Switzerland on international peace, security and defence matters, in particular in response to Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine; welcomes Switzerland’s alignment with EU sanctions adopted in this context, diverging from its traditionally neutral stance; welcomes the decision of the Swiss Federal Council to enact the tenth package of sanctions, which reaffirms Switzerland’s continued alignment with the EU's sanctions on Russia;
