Notes, in addition, the initiative of the President of Parliament aimed at strengthening the links between the Bureau and the Committee on Budgets, on the one hand, and the Bureau and the Committee on Budgetary Control, on the other, by creating a working group with the brief of consolidating those links in a lasting form; notes that this group will also take account of the new budget procedure arising from the Treaty of Lisb; welcomes the fact of the first joint discussion, held on 14 January 2008 and the climate of trust and cooperation between the bodies concerned established by this discussion; expects these deliberations to be continued and awaits their conclusions;

Calls on the administration to ensurestablish a procedure containing better and more visible communication to Members, systematic compliance with the deadlines for supplying supporting documents, as laid down in the rules governing Members' expenditure and allowances, in order to ensure that they are supplied in such a way as to fit with the procedure and the compulsory calendar of the Court of Auditors for the drafting of its annual report, and a final confirmation to Members once their file is closed;
