56. Is of the opinion that after the Commission needs to undertake an evaluation of the Service Directive to determine whether it has achieved its main goals and to treat the issue as a matter of urgencyhas ensured that the Service Directive has been correctly transposed, it needs to evaluate it to determine whether it has achieved its main goals in accordance with Article 41 of the directive; calls in regard to this task for clear cooperation with the European Parliament and insists that a balance is maintained between the need to strengthen the single market in services and the need to safeguard a high level of social protection;
