Ba. whereas in many lamps the bulbs cannot be replaced, which can lead to problems if a bulb stops working, if newer, more efficient bulbs appear on the market or if the customer's preference, for example as regards the colour of the light emitted, changes, because the whole lamp has to be replaced;

Calls on the Commission to consider how the replaceability of LED bulbs can be encouraged and facilitated and to consider, in addition to ecodesign measures, a less stringent approach involving, for example, labelling, incentive schemes, public procurement or an extended warranty if the bulbs cannot be removed;
