Welcomes the Commission'’s announcement that it intends to speed upcommitment to the introduction of ‘eCall’, and calls on the Commission, over the next two years, to consider whether it should be extended to cover motorcycles, heavy goods vehicles and buses and, if appropriate, make corresponding proposalremove the last obstacles to the deployment of the system such as the necessary upgrade of the infrastructure and by adopting the necessary standards;
