WelcomesTakes note of the announced report on the possible extension of the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance to social objectives; considers that the EU taxonomy needsmight be extended to cover social factors, without creating an excessively disproportionate burden on businesses, as it can be a driver for investment in the field of the social economy; stresses that such a social taxonomy must respect the principle of subsidiarity and must not create an excessively disproportionate burden on businesses;
