Condemns the partial reopening of Varosha beach, which undermines mutual trust and therefore the prospect of the resumption of direct talks on the comprehensive resolution of the Cyprus issue; calls on Turkey to reverse this action; regrets that the Turkish authorities, President Erdoğan included, have endorsed a two-state solution, and urges Turkey to commit concretely to the UN Secretary-General’s call; reiterates its support for a fair, comprehensive and viable settlement on the basis of a bi- communal, bi-zonal federation with political equality;
