Stresses that realistic and flexible timeframes must be provided for when implementing the New EU Forest Strategy, so as to enable the Member States to adapt accordingly at the level of central government, local authorities and the private sector; calls for adequate transitional and training periods to be provided, particularly with regard to the development and application of sustainable forest management indicators.
