Draws attention to the importance of data access in the platform economy; highlights the vital role data plays for local governments in enforcing and developing policies in the fields of Transport and Tourism; stresses the need for the authorities to have access to these data in order to transpose virtual ordering into the technical, economic and social reality of online services, with a view to protecting the consumer and combating social fraud and unfair competition in the transport and tourism sectors;
