Calls on the Commission to establish five EU NCD partnerships: ‘beating NCDs – children’, ‘beating NCDs – young people, ‘beating NCDs – adults’, ‘beating NCDs – elderly people’ and ‘beating NCDs – vulnerable groups’; believes that such partnerships should bring together Member States and national authorities to draft roadmaps and innovative proposals to ensure effective and targeted actions against NCDs; invites, however, the Member States to establish a strategy tailored to suit their own population which, rather than compartmentalising care, uses a comprehensive approach with a view to ensuring better patient care;
