Urges the Commission to manage small pelagic at a regional level, as the FAO’s working group on small pelagics in north-western Africa recommends, given that Senegal shares these stocks with Morocco, Mauritania and Gambia. Joint research programmes should be established and the Commission should ensure that all scientific committees meet at the same time, or within a few days of one another.
