Notes that according to the European Court of Auditors (ECA) Annual report for the financial year 2022, the estimated level of error in spending on ‘Cohesion, resilience and values’ is 6.4% and that for the subheading ‘Economic, social and territorial cohesion, the estimated level of error is 6.6%; underlines that in the 260 transactions the ECA audited, audit authorities reported 58 quantifiable errors and most notably concerned ineligible costs (31) and irregularities in public procurement procedures (21);

Raises concerns about the demonisation of groups supporting pregnant women; notes that this is contrary to Article 2 TEU and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, where the right to life is enshrined; is further concerned by disrespect of Member State competences in the area of health; therefore calls for a removal of funding for organisations which promote abortion; calls on the Commission to explore the core mission of those to whom EU funds are gNotes the Commission’s methodology for tracking gender aspects of expenditure as of 2023; recalls that only 2% of the Union’s budget was assessed as having a principle objective of improving gender equality; calls on the Commission to improve this score by mainstreaming gender from the start of programme design; reiteranted and to withhold funding from actors using EU funds for the purposes of terminating human rights, particularly women’s rights and gender equalitys that further detail is needed so that the majority of spending (73%) currently assessed as 0* ‘potential to contribute to gender equality’ can be fully understood;
