Calls on the Commission and the Member States to fully assess the needs arising from the crisis and its socio- economic consequences, and to allocate adequate budgetary resources to tackling these needs, as well as to the monitoring of this spending on women, to ensure that the crisis does not exacerbate existing inequalities, and that at least half of the resources are spent on women’s jobs and the advancement of women’s rights, as well as to ensure the participation of gender equality bodies in partnership agreements, the implementation of gender impact assessments as a requirement to access EU funds and the monitoring of this spending through the collection of gender- disaggregated data and gender equality indicators, following its commitments in the Gender Equality Strategy; emphasises that preparatory action is the best way to build resilience in all areas for future crises;
