Calls on the Commission to develop a comprehensive and cross- sectional European mental health strategy as an appropriate follow-up to the European Framework for Action on Mental Health and to improve the EU Compass for Action on Mental Health and Well-Being; Notes that this strategy should aim to require Member States to integrate mental healthcare with physical care in view of the close correlation between the two, to deliver effective care on the basis of evidence and human rights, to expand the number of services on offer to enable more people to access treatment;
