Considers that family workers still represent the vast majority of agricultural labour in Europe, but notes that this type of labour has been steadily declining for years and is expected to decline further in the near future; stresses that the unstoppable rural exodus from certain parts of the Union will lead to rural areas facing economic, social and environmental problems that need more ambitious and coordinated policies;
