Welcomes the promotion of CSR internationally, and calls on the Commission to integrate CSR better in its trade policies and to draw up more binding rules for European companies operating in developing countries directly or through subcontractorsby seeking to include clauses reflecting internationally recognised CSR standards in all bilateral, regional and multilateral agreements, and to draw up more binding rules for European companies operating in developing countries directly or through subcontractors for whose behaviour they must necessarily take responsibility; asks the Commission to monitor, in a straightforward manner, the introduction of the above-mentioned clauses and to keep Parliament informed about it;
