16b. regrets the lack of, -notably in the audiovisual field-, a program combining Horizon 2020 -which supports and aims to strengthen the technological innovation-, and Creative Europe, -which aims the creative content; suggests that these two dimensions could be jointed through a specific framework scheme that should: • involve both technological and creative sectors • facilitate exchanges, capacity and collaboration between media technology experts and creative experts, • promote cooperation with -and between- start-ups and SMEs, • support projects that can be realized in a short time, from their demonstration phase to their commercial implementation;

Notes that the mid-term review of the MFF and the implementation reports of EU programmes should be regarded as two interconnected parts of the same process; notes that, particularly for Creative Europe, Horizon 2020 and the Structural Funds (ERDF and ESF), the role and impact of CCIs on growth, employment and territorial cohesion should be specifically evaluated and further promoted; stresses that this process should provide a solid and coherent basis for the revision of the MFF and the future EU programme's architecture post 2020;
