Calls on the Council and the Commission to give greater recognition within the Europe 2020 strategy to the fact that health and well-being are key to fighting exclusion and to include indicators stratified by socio-economic status in the monitoring of the Europe 2020 strategy, as well as to take into consideration age- based discrimination, in particular in relation to clinical trials for treatments better suited to the needs of elderly people;
