Welcomes the extension of the scope of the organic farming regulation to certain products closely linked to agriculture which are not listed in Annex I of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union, such as salt; however, expresses its concern about the report on organic salt published on 6 August 2021 by EGTOP, as it is in favour of extending the EU organic label to production methods that not comply with the principles of the EU regulation 2018/848; therefore calls on the European Commission not to follow the advice of EGTOP;
