Deplores excessive awards for executive pay at a time when most workers are struggling with austerity measures; affirms that executive pay should reflect sustainable growth in a firm; calls therefore for greater transparency of the proportion of revenues given to executive pay compared to shareholders, workers and capital investment; calls for improved accountability and fully effective shareholder control over executive pay awards;

EncouragesUrges companies to publish more information on top level pay in general, including the disclosure of the remuneration policy and the annual remuneration report, which should be subject to the approval of the assembly of shareholders; stresses however that the disclosure of individual remuneration of executive and non-executive directors would constitute a breach of privacy and should be avoided unless consent is given by the person concernedencourages greater employee representation on remuneration panels;
