Calls on the Commission, in the context of both the multilateral WTO General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS), and bilateral negotiations, not to enter into new market access commitments in sensitive areas of public general interest services; points out that in particular the EU and the Member States must continue to maintain their unlimited right to regulate general interest services in the public interest;
