Notes that the link between trade and gender is not sufficiently addressed in the GAP II; recalls in this respect that negotiation of trade agreements could be used as an effective, especially the negotiation of labour rights chapters, are important tools for advancing gender equality between women and men and callsin third countries; calls therefore for DG Trade to take steps to implement the GAP II in its work and for all EU trade agreements to include references to girls’ and women’s rights and gender equality to respect ILO core conventions on gender and labour rights;
