Points out the importance of the presentation of the draft annual work programmes of the agencies in the committees responsible before the final work programme is adopted; recalls that this practice helps to ensure that the work programmes reflect the actual political priorities and facilitates the close monitoring and scrutinising of the implementation of work programmes;

Highlights the importance of close cooperation between agencies; points outinsists on continuing the existing good practices of synergy effects among agencies, such as memoranda of understandings and prior consultation on working programmes, in order to avoid overlapping and repetition of activities;
