b) OwShared responsibility and partnership — Increasing public ownership of social inclusion policies and actions, emphasising everyone’s responsibility in tackling poverty and marginalisation. The European Year shall foster awareness, participation and engagement, and create new opportunities for ordinary citizens to contribute and opposing further privatisation of public services, emphasising both collective and individual responsibility in the fight against poverty and social exclusion. The European Year will promote the involvement of all public and private actors, inter alia through pro-active partnerships.
