Welcomes initiatives designed to diversify sources of funding and reduce the cost of capital for SMEs; stresses the need to make EU funding more attractive to SMEs and to improve the way in which capital markets fund the real economy,; by developing alternaelieves that the proposal for a regulation on the prospectus to be published when securitives to bank loans, and to make EU funding more attractive to SMEsare offered to the public or admitted to trading can help to make it easier and less expensive for SMEs, as an alternative to bank loans, to raise capital on the capital market;
