Deforestation Regulation: provisions relating to the date of application
Das Hauptziel der vor den letzten Europawahlen 2024 eigentlich schon ausverhandelten Entwaldungsverordnung ist es, in Zukunft Unternehmen, die Produkte und Rohstoffe wie Kakao, Kaffee, Kautschuk, Soja, Palmöl und Holz auf den europäischen Markt bringen, in Haftung genommen werden sollen. Demnach müssen sie für den gesamten Lebenszyklus dieser Produkte, also auch deutlich außerhalb des eigenen Geschäftsfeldes, garantieren und haften, dass die Produkte zu 100 Prozent entwaldungsfrei, ohne Verlust der Biodiversität, in Übereinstimmung mit der Rechtsprechung der entsprechenden Drittländer und konform mit dem 1,5-Grad-Ziel des Pariser Abkommens produziert wurden. Andernfalls drohen ihnen saftige Geldstrafen und sogar der Verlust ihrer Handelslizenz. Inzwischen hat die EU-Kommission feststellen müssen, dass diese Verordnung so nicht anwendbar ist, da erforderliche Vorbereitungen nicht getroffen wurden.Entsprechend hat die EU-Kommission eine Verschiebung der Anwendung dieser Verordnung um ein Jahr beantragt. Im Zuge dessen hat die EVP-Fraktion inhaltliche Vorschläge für eine Entschärfung, darunter eine Verschiebung der Anwendung um zwei Jahre beantragt. Beide Vorhaben kann die ESN-Fraktion nur unterstützen, zumal mit der Annahme der Änderungsanträge zum einen die so genannte politische „Brandmauer“ zur AfD und anderen konservativen Parteien in Europa ein Stück weit abgetragen wird und zum andern eine Wiederaufnahme der Verhandlungen zu dieser wirtschaftsfeindlichen und nicht zielführenden Verordnung notwendig wird.
UN Climate Change Conference 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan (COP29)
Wieder einmal werden Vertreter von fast 200 Vertragsparteien des Klimarahmenabkommens UNFCCC zusammenkommen, um über die „Rettung des Planeten“ zu sprechen. Wieder einmal wird der „grüne Übergang“ propagiert, der im Klartext ein groß angelegtes Deindustrialisierungs-, Arbeitsplatzabbau- und Geldvernichtungsprogramm für die EU-Mitgliedstaaten im Namen des sogenannten Klimaschutzes ist. Wieder einmal werden sich Zehntausende meist mit dem Flugzeug eingeflogene Delegierte gegenseitig in ihrer Klima- und Weltrettungsideologie zu bestätigen versuchen. Auch wenn die Zeiten für Fridays for Future mit Greta Thunberg, Luisa Neubauer und anderen Apokalypseausrufern härter geworden sind, da die Bürger die Folgen der Klimamaßnahmen jetzt deutlich zu spüren bekommen, ist die Klimaideologie in den EU-Institutionen immer noch fest verankert.Dies zeigt diese Entschließung, die von insgesamt fünf Fraktionen, denen mit Ausnahme der AfD alle deutschen in Fraktionsstärke im Bundestag vertretenen Parteien angehören, unterstützt wird. Dieser Entschließungsantrag ist abzulehnen, denn es ist Zeit, wieder wirkungseffizienten und evidenzbasierten Umweltschutz im Einklang mit wirtschaftlichen Erfordernissen zu betreiben, um Wohlstand, Wirtschaftswachstum und Arbeitsplätze in Deutschland und der EU zu schaffen, statt auf Grundlage modellbasierter Weltuntergangsszenarien mit der EU-Abrissbirne aus Europa ein großes Industriemuseum zu machen und mit planwirtschaftlichen, die Menschen bevormundenden Maßnahmen die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit unserer Wirtschaft sowie die persönlichen Freiheiten der Bürger nachhaltig zu schädigen.

Der Antrag des zuständigen Ausschusses für Umweltfragen, öffentliche Gesundheit und Lebensmittelsicherheit (ENVI-Ausschuss) spricht sich gegen die Pläne der Kommission aus, die Zulassung der gentechnisch veränderten Pflanzensorte zu genehmigen. Im Bereich der Gentechnik gibt es eine Reihe von Argumenten für oder gegen die Zulassung entsprechend veränderter Pflanzen auf dem EU-Binnenmarkt. Die Ausschussmitglieder der ESN-Fraktion im ENVI-Ausschuss sind der Auffassung, dass hier Vorsicht bei der Zulassung von genetisch veränderten Pflanzen geboten ist. Entsprechend habe ich mit Ja zum Einwand gestimmt.
Election of the Commission
Als Abgeordnete der ESN-Fraktion lehne ich eine Kommission ab, die die Fehlentwicklungen der vergangenen Jahre weiterführen will: Klimaideologie, Bürokratie, Zentralismus, Massenmigration und Wokeness. Zudem sind viele der vorgestellten Kommissare nicht auf die von der ESN-Fraktion während ihrer Anhörungen vorgebrachten Bedenken eingegangen.Diese Ernennungen sind ein Zeichen dafür, dass die Europäische Kommission einen zentralistischen Kurs fährt, den die Abgeordneten der ESN-Fraktion nicht akzeptieren können. Daher habe ich dieses Kollegium abgelehnt.
