Regrets that despite the sector-specific measures that have been taken, there does not yet exist a fully-fledged EU approach to mountain regions; proposes in this regard that efforts be made to adopt a common definition of mountain regions in line with the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) so as to cover areas where agricultural production is inhibited due to very difficult climatic conditions;
