Tillack-affären, där en tysk journalist blev föremål för rättsliga övergrepp efter att ha avslöjat korruption i ett EU-organs verksamhet, visar på allvarliga brister i källskyddet inom EU:sTo make it possible to provide objective news reporting to European taxpayers and in order to guarantee freedom of the press, all EU bodies involved in the investitugationer. "Article 7 c To make it possible to provide objective news reporting to European taxpayers and in order to guarantee freedom of the press, all EU bodies involved in the investigation must respect the principle of protecting journalists' sources.
