Considers that more structured coordination is needed between European and national levels in order to achieve a sustainable impact and better policies at European and national levels; encourages policy-makers at European, national, regional and local level to consult the women who's rights are concerned, their communities and organisations in the field on policies and measures which aim at improving the social integration of ethnic minority and migrant women;

Calls on the Commission to consider widening EU funding opportunities from the European Social Fund and the European Integration Fund and giving them a more strategic focus in order to play a role in the integration and reintegration of women from migrant and ethnic minority groups into the labour market, in particular in times of economic crises; stresses the importance of differentiating between migrant and ethnic minority groups for the integration fund and urges the Commission to develop measures that make EU funding more available to migrant and ethnic minority women;

Calls on the EU and its Member States to carry out awareness-raising campaigns aimed at migrant and minority women as well as the general public to combat discriminatory cultural norms, to prevent polarisation and tackle the prevalent sexist stereotypes and social stigmatisation which legitimise and perpetuate violence against women, and to ensure that there is no justification of violence on the grounds of customs, traditions or religious considerations;
