Takes the view that the WTO system hasaims to ensured that IPRs are more widely recognised internationally, providing for minimum standards of protection through the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS), dialogue between member states and with other institutions such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Customs Organization (WCO), as well as a dispute prevention and settlement mechanism;
